Unlike a hotel, the specific property you are booking is one of a kind. We require a down-payment to secure a reservation, which must be made on a major credit card (MASTERCARD, VISA, AMEX, DISCOVER). This down-payment is 50% of the reservation total. We ask for half of the reservation amount at the time of booking and the other half 45 days prior to check-in. However, for all reservations of 45 days or less prior to check-in, the down-payment is 100% of the total rental fee. Note this is a Reservation Down-Payment and NOT a Security Deposit. Once the first payment is made it is non-refundable. Any cancelations made within 45 days or less of the arrival will result in a charge of 100% of your reservation. To protect against cancellations caused by certain unforeseen events, such as illness, weather, trip-related issues, change of dates, we recommend purchasing travel insurance. After you have selected one of our vacation rental properties and made a booking request with Cute Snow Villas, we will process your down-payment (typically within 24 hours)once the reservation has been reviewed. We will e-mail you a reservation confirmation and credit card receipt for the transaction. The week prior to your arrival date we will email your Check-In Information which includes your final confirmation, driving directions, complex and access information, along with how to obtain the keys to your rental property. Please print and familiarize yourself with all the provided information prior to your arrival. It always help to bring the print-out of the check-in information to help gain access. Don’t forget to purchase Travel Insurance!

Since all of our rental properties are homes, and not hotel rooms, they are fully furnished and include a living room, kitchen, and bedrooms and bathrooms as described on each property detail page.

  • The kitchen includes cooking utensils, pots & pans, dishcloths, potholders, flatware, dishware, and glassware. Standard appliances include a refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster, and coffee maker. Some properties are equipped with additional items; please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property. If you require specialty items, it is best to bring your own. If you are looking for something specific please contact us and we can check the inventory of the property.
  • A setup bed linens and bath linens (bath towels, hand towels and washcloths) are provided. Daily maid service can be added to your reservation for an additional fee.
  • The property includes basic housekeeping supplies, such as brooms and dustpans.
  • An initial set up of paper items are included (paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish detergent, and hand soap)

Currently, none of our properties have A/C.  Most of the time A/C is not needed and most homeowners keep the blinds closed during the day and open the windows during the night to allow the home to cool off. We do have portable A/C units for rent. They are limited so make sure you reserve one asap. Truthfully A/C is really not necessary up in the Mountains! There are very few properties that have air conditioning in Steamboat all together. The cold mountain air and the valley acts as a natural A/C. On the occasional hot days we recommend that you open windows and doors for cross-ventilation and use the fans we provide. Please keep in mind that fans are not air conditioners. I always suggest sticking them by an open window or door to circulate the fresh air.

If you forget something in one of the properties, please e-mail us to report your lost item. Please describe the item in as much detail as you can and be sure to enter the name of the property at which it was left. It is also important to note the date that you left the item behind.

We will make every effort to find the lost items and return them to you. However, we cannot be responsible for items left behind and we cannot guarantee items reported will be returned. Items that are unclaimed after 7 days will be donated to a local charity.

If a lost or left item is discovered, we will contact you for item verification before proceeding with shipping. We will charge your credit card for the shipping and handling expenses for the return of the left item. You will be responsible for paying for any and all shipping charges plus a $25 handling fee (consider that sometimes it costs more to return your property than it is actually worth).

Check-in time is any time after 4:00 p.m. We like to have a heads up if you think you’ll be arriving late (8 pm or later in the evening)

We want to ensure everything is properly cleaned and in good working order for your arrival, please note that you will have access to your property at that time. In most cases, a guest is departing just hours before your arrival and the whole property needs to be turned over.

Check-out time is any time before 10:00 a.m. Upon request, an early check-in or a late checkout, may be arranged based on availability. An additional fee will apply to receive an early check-in/ late check out to guarantee availability.

Property Management and Housekeeping will arrive promptly at 10:00 am on departure day to inspect the property and prepare the property for the next incoming guests. Failure to check out on time without written consent from CSV will result in a minimum of $50.00 per hour fee.

We offer a one-time non-refundable Accidental Rental Damage Waiver Fee included on each reservation. The ARDW protection is a damage waiver that will cover accidental damages up to $500.00 in the property. If an accident occurs, we simply ask that you report the details of the accident and leave the rest to us. Please leave any accidentally damaged items upon departure inside the unit.  Your credit card will still be held for damages or losses that are in excess of the coverage amount and for anything that is not covered by the insurance, including but not limited to, intentional damage, additional cleaning, smoking or pet damage.

We take pride in our care and cleaning of our homes and a vacation rental home is not the same as a hotel. Each home is unique with large furnished living areas, kitchens, and bedrooms which takes significantly more time to clean than a hotel room.  We have a short amount of time between guest to clean the entire home. This includes washing windows, washing all bed sheets, bath towels, cleaning all living areas, refilling and purchasing all supplies and so much more. It takes a team of people and tight scheduling in order to get the place clean and inspected to our high standard for our next guest.

In addition, guests have booked a specific home not a general bedroom in a hotel, meaning we cannot move an early arriving guest to a unit that is clean and ready upon arrival like a hotel can. Due to these constraints, the check in and out times we have are more restrictive and fees are higher than hotel fees. Early check-in and late check-out is available if our schedule allows and we have the time to prepare, the fee will be around $49 per bedroom plus tax in order hire the extra staff and switch around schedules to keep the same level of cleaning and quality in only couple hours.
